Our story
Why we started
Voxalone was started by developers who had spent years watching the same pattern: one team wins the work, another team builds it, and nobody who made the promises is around when they come due.
We run it the other way. The person in your first meeting writes the code and is still there when something needs changing. That changes what people are willing to promise in the first place.
Early clients get the founders rather than whoever was free, and they get an honest answer when something should be smaller, delayed or not built at all — including when saying so costs us the job.

Six things we stick to
Values only mean something when they cost you something. These are the ones we intend to be held to, and you are welcome to hold us to them.
Solve the problem, not the brief
Briefs describe a proposed solution. We look for the problem underneath, which occasionally means recommending something smaller than what was asked for.
Work in the open
Clients have repository access, board access and environment access from day one. There is no reporting layer between you and the actual state of the work.
Leave people better equipped
Every engagement ends with your team able to run and extend what we built. Dependency on us is a failure mode, not a business model.
Build for the person on call
Someone will be debugging this at an unreasonable hour in two years. Logging, documentation and simplicity are written for them.
Earn the next engagement
We would rather be re-engaged on merit than retained by a contract nobody can exit. Nothing we sign will tie you in beyond the work you have asked for.
The team
Small, and honest about it
We are a small founding team rather than an agency with a bench. That is a real limit on how much we can take on at once, and we would rather tell you that than overcommit and miss a date.
What it means in practice: the people who have spent years building and running production systems are the ones writing your code, not supervising juniors who are. If we are not free, or a project needs a specialism we do not have, you will be told straight away rather than discovering it in month three.
